Our Operation Mother Tongue Instruction for municipal students in grades 1-9 is coordinated by the Mother Tongue Unit, located at Ekedalsskolan in Gustavsberg. Teaching is conducted at different schools depending on where students reside within the municipality. Teaching groups consist of students of mixed ages and varying prior knowledge. Your Assignment As a Mother Tongue Teacher, you will be part of a team with other mother tongue teachers in the municipality. The position includes participation in team meetings approximately twice per semester. The role also involves extensive parent contact, attendance reporting, lesson planning, and documentation in the school portal Vklass. We are seeking someone with a teaching degree and experience instructing students of various ages. You should have excellent knowledge of the language you will teach, as well as good familiarity with the culture and traditions of countries where the language is spoken. You also need strong Swedish language skills and knowledge of Swedish culture and traditions. We place great importance on your ability to collaborate and communicate with students, colleagues, and parents, and your capacity to independently conduct teaching based on current governing documents. Knowledge of the mother tongue curriculum, pedagogical planning, assessment writing, evaluation, and grading is meritorious. Good understanding of the curriculum's core values and knowledge perspective is also important. Your Experience Computer proficiency is required and a prerequisite for success in this assignment. Experience with the school portal Vklass is meritorious.
