Your Responsibilities
Omniglot is currently seeking a native language teacher in Croatian for a 5% position, starting immediately.
As a native language teacher, you will instruct children and adolescents in your native language at various primary schools throughout Stockholm County, which requires flexibility. Travel compensation is not provided. This assignment pertains to a school located north of Stockholm. Teaching will take place outside regular school hours, typically in the afternoon between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and occasionally between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM in the morning.
Your tasks include:
- Planning and conducting native language lessons;
- Managing attendance and absence for your students;
- Email communication with guardians;
- Grading and assessments;
- Reporting your working hours and maintaining close contact with Omniglot's central unit;
- Participating in professional development alongside other teaching colleagues.

We are looking for someone who:
- Resides in the Stockholm area;
- Comes from Croatia and has Croatian as their native language;
- Speaks and writes Swedish or English fluently;
- Has good computer skills;
- Is attentive to the needs and interests of students;
- Is flexible and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, guardians, and school staff. Teaching experience is an advantage. We only accept applications through this platform, and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
