Native Language Teacher in Finnish 25% for the Mother Tongue Unit, Nacka Municipality

Your Mission As a mother tongue teacher, you will teach primary and secondary school students whose mother tongue is Finnish. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching based on the curriculum. You will use digital tools and adapt the instruction according to the students' needs, interests, and circumstances. You will follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. Additionally, your responsibilities include attendance reporting, communication with guardians, and providing study guidance for newly arrived students when necessary. As a teacher in the Mother Tongue Unit in Nacka, you will be mobile and work at several different schools in the municipality. You will manage and take responsibility for your time and tasks. Remote or distance teaching is not applicable. Your Experience For this position, you are required to have: - Teacher education - Finnish as your mother tongue - Experience in teaching students and adapting instruction for different ages and knowledge levels - Good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum's core values and views on knowledge - Strong digital competence with good experience in using IT as a pedagogical tool - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is advantageous if you also have: - Certification as a mother tongue teacher in Finnish, or alternatively a Swedish or foreign teaching degree - Knowledge of the curriculum in the subject of mother tongue - Experience and knowledge in pedagogical planning, assessment, and grading. You are clear and communicative, both in writing and verbally. You have the ability to independently plan and take responsibility for your time and tasks.
