Are you an experienced software developer with a passion for embedded systems and technology that makes a difference? Great, we are now looking for a developer to join Bertin Exensor, where you will work on advanced sensor solutions for safety-critical environments.
In this role, you will be involved in the development of software for embedded systems, primarily in C, in a Windows-based environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team that works through the entire development chain – from requirements gathering to testing and deployment. The position involves both office work and practical field testing, providing a varied workday.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and test embedded systems written in C
• Deployment and maintenance of our software, including continuous improvements for better quality and functionality
• Integrate third-party components into our existing systems
• Conduct outdoor testing to evaluate the system in its intended environment
• Continuous improvements of our work system and our systems
About You:
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have at least four years of experience in programming in C for embedded systems, as well as a good understanding of low-level programming in ARM-based systems with limited resources. You have worked in Windows environments and are accustomed to using version control systems such as Git or SVN. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is also a significant advantage if you have experience in software development, communication protocols, and user interfaces for Windows or Android. If you have also worked in security-classified environments or the military sector, we will be truly impressed!
About the Gig:
This is a consulting assignment, or gig as we call it at Gigstep. What does that mean? Initially, you will be employed by Gigstep with the ambition that it will lead to a permanent position with our client after 6 months.
