About the Role
As an Environmental Coordinator within Ambulance, Diagnostics and Health (ADH), you will work both strategically and operationally with sustainability and environmental issues.
You will coordinate and inspire colleagues across Halland from Laholm in the south to Kungsbacka in the north, actively contributing to Region Halland's sustainability goals.
The work includes supporting areas such as:
- Chemical management and risk assessments
- Monitoring of environmental legislation
- Environmental certification and internal audits
- Waste management and fossil-free transition
- Environmental aspects in procurement and projects
You will initiate and lead improvement work, coordinate training efforts, and function as an advisor and support to operations, with a strong focus on developing relevant goals for the administration in line with overarching regional environmental objectives. About Us
The Ambulance, Diagnostics and Health (ADH) administration has a region-wide operation with approximately 1,350 employees.
Based on Region Halland's vision "Best Living Place", ADH works to promote good health among the population.
In our operations, we meet the residents of Halland through everything from women's health care, youth clinics, laboratory services, imaging and diagnostic services, healthcare hygiene, medical advice via 1177, medical transportation, assistive devices, habilitation, and ambulance healthcare.
Our employees are the key to delivering high-quality care and support with the patient and resident at the center.
As an Environmental Coordinator, you will become part of the Operations Environment department, which belongs to the administration's management and operational support. The department leads and coordinates support processes within premises issues, safety, digitalization, and environment. The management and operational support also includes departments for development and quality, HR, finance, and the administration's chief physician.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Documented experience in chemical risk assessment and good knowledge of environmental legislation
- Experience working in certified operations and with internal and external audits
- Experience with permit-required and/or environmentally hazardous operations
- Ability to coordinate and drive environmental work in close collaboration with different parts of the organization
- Good communication skills and ability to switch between strategic and operational work
Meritorious
- Experience working with hazardous waste and/or knowledge of ADR-S
- Experience from accredited operations
