Environmental and Health Protection Inspector - Temporary Position

We are now seeking a temporary Environmental and Health Protection Inspector for our administration, located in the Environmental Protection unit. The administration consists of 24 people distributed across units: Business Support, Food, Health Protection, Environmental Protection, Land and Water, and Water Management/Nature Conservation. The administration works based on an adopted operational and supervision plan. The Environmental and Health Protection Committee's vision is: We want to help people do the right thing. WORK TASKS You will work with supervision according to the Environmental Code in the Environmental Protection unit. The work involves object supervision of various types of operations and industries, processing of notifications, referrals, and complaints. Depending on competence and experience, cases related to contaminated areas and land remediation may also be included. You will plan and implement the activities required to meet the demands placed on the operation. Supervision work occurs in teams with a strong focus on collaboration and experience exchange. You are expected to be flexible, take responsibility, and be able to support colleagues when needed. The role also includes participating in and planning various supervision projects, both within specific types of operations and geographical areas, in collaboration with colleagues within the unit and administration. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who sees environmental and health protection issues in a holistic perspective and wants to be part of an engaged team. You have a university degree and documented knowledge in environmental and health protection. We want you to have good knowledge of current legislation. We particularly appreciate experience and knowledge in handling cases related to contaminated areas. You will have many contacts with businesses and the public. Therefore, we want you to be outgoing, positive, and able to express yourself well verbally and in writing in the Swedish language. You are easy to collaborate with but can still be clear in your official role. As a person, you have the ability to make objective and factual assessments, set clear requirements, and take responsibility for your decisions. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities, especially your communication skills and ability to interact with people. The work will involve travel, so it is necessary that you have a driver's license for a manually shifted car. If you have experience and have used the business system EDP Vision, this is an advantage.
