Welcome to apply! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to work with important environmental issues that impact both people and nature? Do you have experience with environmental code supervision? Do you want to be part of a team that supports each other in varied, exciting assignments? Then you could be the environmental and health protection inspector we're looking for! Landskrona is a city with a long industrial history, which creates complex cases related to contaminated areas. Here, you'll have a unique opportunity to influence the environment and people's quality of life in a concrete way, in a role that combines fieldwork and office work. Job Responsibilities The primary task is supervision according to the Environmental Code, particularly in: • Contaminated areas (MIFO objects, remediation notifications, land surveys, risk assessments, remediation investigations, and mass handling) • Beach protection, small boat harbors, and dredging related to small boat harbors • Referral responses regarding water activities You will be responsible for information and advice to operators and Landskrona's citizens. We collaborate with other city departments and other authorities, and are also part of various case handler networks. Our collaborations and networks are of great importance, and you will interact with the municipality's residents, businesses, and other authorities that you need to approach professionally and in a trust-inspiring manner. You have an analytical eye and enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with others. You are structured, solution-oriented, and good at creating positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. You can communicate clearly and professionally, and you are driven to solve complex cases and see them through to completion. Formal Requirements • Academic degree in environmental or natural sciences • Alternative college education that we deem equivalent • Class B driver's license • Experience with environmental code supervision • Excellent Swedish in speech and writing Experience with contaminated areas and beach protection supervision is meritorious for the position.
