Do you want to help shape the future of Vännäs? As Environment and Construction Department Manager, you will lead work on community development in an expanding municipality. About the Role As Environment and Construction Department Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, budget, finances, personnel, and workplace environment within the department. You plan, follow up, and evaluate operations while driving development work forward. Employees in environmental and health protection also perform environmental supervision in Bjurholm Municipality through a collaboration agreement. Your work tasks include: - Leading and developing departmental work in environmental and health protection, urban planning and construction issues, land exploitation, and traffic. - Driving operational development with digital support to provide the best possible service to citizens and the business community. Currently implementing an E-archive. - Working closely with the political leadership in the Planning and Environment Committee and contributing to collaboration and development work both internally and externally. Qualifications - Academic degree in urban development, environmental and health protection, law, or similar. - Leadership experience and experience leading projects or development work. - Experience working within a politically governed organization. - Experience with public authority management, preferably in environmental and health protection or urban planning and construction issues is meritorious. - Knowledge of relevant legislation is meritorious, as are good skills in EDP Vision.
