At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an exceptionally important job!
We now need to strengthen our operations with more employees who can assist in the areas where the demand is currently greatest. Our organization is large, and over time, there may be a need for your skills in other case types as well; the development opportunities are numerous. Regardless of where in the organization you will work, you will play a significant role in contributing to the implementation of our important societal mission. Your job with us truly matters.
What does a migration assistant do in the Case Distribution Unit?
The work as an assistant in the Case Distribution Unit primarily involves handling incoming mail, digitizing documents and applications that arrive in Sweden from foreign authorities and from individual applicants. The applications and documents received are reviewed, assessed, and digitized correctly so that they can be further processed by our colleagues in the various permit and asylum units in Sweden.
The role of a migration assistant means that you will encounter different types of inquiries daily. This, in turn, allows you to quickly acquire knowledge that is often very valuable for your continued career within the Migration Agency. If you thrive in an administratively oriented role where both the volume and quality of your delivery are of great importance, then this is the role for you.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and can independently plan and organize your work effectively towards set goals and deadlines. You are service-oriented and accommodating in your interactions with colleagues, applicants, and other stakeholders. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, are attentive, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are flexible and can easily adapt and change your perspective and approach in altered circumstances. You also have the ability to see the bigger picture and take into account broader perspectives.
In our work as civil servants, there are also high demands for judgment and a strong awareness of security and confidentiality.
You, as the applicant, have:
- A high school diploma
- Experience in administrative work that the employer deems relevant
