Job Responsibilities Are you interested in shaping a new role where you can develop, share your expertise, and methodologically guide two dedicated teams with their hearts in the right place? We are now seeking someone who wants to take on the new assignment as a method supervisor and build bridges between our two operations – Vamos and Smedjan. In the role of method supervisor, your main tasks are to: - Provide support and guidance in daily work. - Develop work methods and approaches together with colleagues in each team. - Follow up on interventions through statistics and user participation. - Ensure quality in documentation, implementation plans, and the assignment process. As the position is newly established, the assignment will be further developed in dialogue with the unit manager and employees. Vamos and Smedjan currently belong to different departments. There is a proposal to organizationally gather them within the same unit – Rehab 2 – which belongs to the Adult and Social Support division. As part of this proposed change, a new method supervisor position is now being created with responsibility for both teams. Rehab 2 currently consists of a group of social workers in economic assistance, led by a senior social worker, as well as the Vamos operation. As a method supervisor, you will become part of the unit's management team together with the unit manager and senior social worker. Together, you will drive the unit's development and support each other in daily work. Vamos works with individuals who need extra support to approach the labor market. The target group consists of people who need more support than what is provided through agencies like the Employment Office or the municipality's other services. The reason for the need may be dependency issues and/or health challenges. Vamos's guiding principles are working flexibly, individually, persistently, encouraging parallel interventions, and believing that everyone can work with the right support. The work is inspired by the IPS method (Individual Placement and Support). IPS is built on principles such as working on the regular labor market, based on the person's own wishes, interests, and choices, with access to continuous support from job specialists. Smedjan's Employment Center provides guidance for individuals living in Housing and Homelessness services through employment and work training. We also accept referrals from administrative authorities. The purpose and goal of the operation is to support participants in approaching the labor market and achieving self-sufficiency, or to increase hours of meaningful activity. Many of our participants have psychosocial and/or dependency issues and are often far from the labor market. Our operation ensures participants get as many chances as they need to succeed. Activities vary but include tasks such as simple maintenance work, painting walls and furniture, furniture restoration. Smedjan also offers various physical activities like gym and swimming hall visits. Some participants need support in basic needs such as creating structure in daily life and experiencing inclusion and participation, while others can take on more advanced tasks. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with at least a bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, or another relevant field. As communication is crucial for the role, you must be able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing. Additionally, you need several years of experience in social work and experience working with individuals with harmful substance use or dependency. As Vamos work is based on the IPS model, it is advantageous if you are trained in IPS. It is also merit-worthy if you have experience working in labor market or employment interventions. Experience in supervising and/or leading others in your work is also considered beneficial. To succeed as a method supervisor, you need to be proactive and able to take initiative, start activities, and achieve results, whether working alone or with others. You should have strong commitment and enthusiasm for your work. Furthermore, it is important that you are attentive, receptive, and open to understanding others' needs, feelings, and opinions. You should be receptive to what others say or express and show respect, consideration, and care in your approach. You view setbacks as opportunities for learning. The position requires that you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks. You think about those we serve and their best interests. You do your best to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on outcomes. The position also requires the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and reach goals.
