About the Role

Ekatech Automation is a rapidly growing company in the field of robotic automation, focusing on the wood industry and customized pallet manufacturing. They are unique with their own robot-based products and provide complete machines to customers in Sweden and Europe. Product development and assembly take place at their facilities in Smålandsstenar, which also serves as their headquarters, while some components are manufactured by local subcontractors.

The Challenge

As a Mechanical Designer at Ekatech, you will play a central role in the development of the company’s automation solutions. You will work on the mechanical design of components and systems in close collaboration with product development and production. The role involves designing, further developing, and improving customer-specific automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design using SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Developing solution proposals and concepts in close dialogue with internal teams
  • Technical calculations and documentation
  • Participating in innovation and improvement work
  • Contributing to product development and further development of systems

Travel within Sweden and Europe may occur for client meetings and project follow-ups.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, structured, and self-driven, with experience in mechanical design—preferably within automation or machine development. You thrive on responsibility and want to contribute to the development of innovative technical solutions.

To succeed in this role, you need:

  • Proficient knowledge in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • A technical interest and a desire to contribute to development

Merits:

  • Knowledge of CE marking, electrical design, or PLC programming
  • Experience with customer contact and technical solution proposals
  • Language skills in German or French
