ABOUT THE POSITION As a Mechanical Designer, you will have a central role in developing and optimizing Husqvarna's fuel-driven Riders, focusing on cost savings and product improvements. You will be responsible for maintaining the product range and ensuring that the products meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations throughout the product lifecycle. RESPONSIBILITIES The role involves product maintenance, cost optimization, and participation in new platform projects, where you will plan your work independently and collaborate broadly with different departments to ensure high quality and innovation. * Plan and execute mechanical design. * Actively work on cost-out initiatives to achieve savings and optimize the product range. * Participate in and drive projects for new product platforms. * Communicate and collaborate with the lab, purchasing department, and suppliers. * Evaluate prototypes and test results in close cooperation with the lab. * Ensure product quality and a positive customer experience. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO - Has a relevant degree in mechanical engineering or a related field - Has previous experience in mechanical design - Has good knowledge of Catia V5 - Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work It is an advantage if you have - Previous experience in design work with steel and plastic - Knowledge and understanding of mechatronics or electronics - A hands-on approach and practical experience in mechanics To succeed in this role, you possess the following personal qualities: - Change-oriented - flexible and adaptable to changing conditions - Helpful - has good social skills to build relationships - Responsible - driven and goal-oriented OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS This recruitment process is managed by Academic Work, and our client's request is that all questions regarding the position be directed to Academic Work.
