About the role as a mechanical designer
As a mechanical designer at Epiroc in Örebro, you will play a crucial role in developing mechanical solutions for the client's products and machine systems. You will work with classical mechanical design in various projects and subsystems, where you will both create and modify mechanical components and structures. You will also be involved in releasing articles in systems, creating drawings, and managing modules and product structures.
The role includes close collaboration with colleagues in production, quality, purchasing, and other technical disciplines - as well as communication with external contacts. The work is varied, and you can expect both larger projects and smaller, quicker improvement activities.
Common tasks include:
* Creating and modifying mechanical designs in 3D-CAD
* Producing drawings, modules, and product structures
* Being responsible for the release of articles and documentation in systems
* Working on various parts of the machine and in projects of varying sizes
* Collaborating with production, purchasing, quality, and other technical areas
* Communicating with both internal and external contacts
* Supporting other functions in projects and product development as needed
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a structured and driven mechanical designer with broad technical competence and at least 3-5 years of work experience in similar roles. To thrive in this position, you should be meticulous and solution-oriented, and feel comfortable in an environment where collaboration between different disciplines is a natural part of everyday life. You have a good understanding of mechanical design, 3D-CAD, and technical documentation.
We would like you to have:
* At least 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design
* A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product development, or equivalent - alternatively, a vocational education in mechanical design/CAD with relevant experience
* Very good knowledge of 3D-CAD (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or Inventor)
* Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
* Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter is an advantage
About the employment
You will be employed by Jefferson Wells, part of ManpowerGroup, and work as a consultant at Epiroc in Örebro. The assignment begins with a fixed-term employment of six months, with the possibility of extension and continued assignment at Epiroc. The total assignment is planned to last for at least 12 months with good opportunities for continued collaboration.
