About the Business
The mission of Kiruna Malmförädling is to refine the ore from mine to finished product. The main components of the process are screening, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process, while the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and maintenance.

Your Role
As a mechanic with us, you will be part of an engaged workplace consisting of both shift and day staff. You and your colleagues will primarily work on preventive and corrective maintenance of our concentration and pellet plants. This involves working according to established maintenance plans as well as improvement projects such as renovations and safety work. We learn on the job, and as a mechanic with us, you will receive a tailored training plan for breadth and the opportunity to become our ultimate expertise, our most important resource.
Here, you are part of a team with a significant impact on daily operations where your safety and well-being are the highest priority. With us, you will work on maintaining LKAB's largest production unit, thereby having a substantial impact on our results, all alongside helpful and driven colleagues.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma with a mechanical focus or equivalent qualifications is required.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
- Fluent Swedish in both spoken and written form is required.
- Several years of experience in industrial work (meritorious).
- Professional experience in gas/electric welding (meritorious).
