We are seeking a qualified medical secretary - healthcare administrator with strong knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology. It is considered an asset if you have training in diagnostic coding. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. To thrive in this role, you need to be communicative and service-oriented. You appreciate collaborating with others and are skilled at structuring your work.
What you will be working on
As a healthcare administrator, you will play a central role within the unit, which involves contact with patients, care neighbors, and all staff members. We have an overarching responsibility to ensure that the daily administrative operations within the area function smoothly. The work is stimulating and varied, with diverse tasks such as medical documentation in the journal system Cosmic, diagnostic coding, invoice management, onboarding new staff, mail handling, routine work, and more.
As a medical secretary in inpatient care, you will be an important support for doctors regarding the documentation of compulsory care decisions. The dictation list is shared with the community psychiatrists in Luleå, Boden, and Kalix, so it includes mixed dictations from both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as from the LARO clinic and the regional unit for eating disorders. As a new employee, you will, of course, receive an introduction, and the work will be carried out in close collaboration with your colleagues and other staff members.

Information about the position
We offer a permanent full-time position with working hours scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
