We are part of the Kristianstad area, which is a part of Bup Skåne and includes the units in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, and Ystad. The area has approximately 100 employees who work for and with children and adolescents up to 18 years old experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, as well as their families. Bup Ystad consists of a reception unit where outpatient care is the foundation of the clinical operations, and it also includes a step-down care unit, an eating disorders team, and an infant and toddler unit. Our team comprises around 45 employees, including medical secretaries, nurses, psychologists, psychotherapists, health and medical care social workers, counselors, child psychiatrists, resident doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, PTP psychologists, and a unit manager. We collaborate closely with the habilitation clinic regarding shared patients. The Mariamottagning is also nearby. JOB DESCRIPTION Bup in Ystad is now seeking an additional medical secretary to join a team of other medical secretaries within the unit. As a medical secretary, you will be the hub for both patients and staff. You are our face to the outside world, and your approach is crucial for patients and families to feel seen and welcomed. You will be entering a pleasant and exciting workplace with a dedicated team that values good camaraderie. Your tasks will be varied and involve close collaboration with other professional categories within the unit. You will be responsible for reception duties, telephone service, visit registration, issuing certificates, and other general administrative/secretarial tasks. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration (80 points KY / 400 points YH) or equivalent medical secretary training. You should have a good understanding of medical terminology and possess strong skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience in and/or an interest in psychiatric services and programs/systems such as Melior, Pasis/Våps, Qlik-View, and Excel is an advantage. You are welcoming and patient-focused. As a medical secretary with us, you must be able to work independently, be engaged, possess great flexibility, be meticulous and responsible, and be able to take initiative based on the needs of the operation. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and recognize the benefits of strong partnerships both within and outside the unit. Personal suitability will be given significant importance.
