About this role

Make a difference. Every day. Are you skilled in administration and social interaction? Are you looking for a new challenge where you can develop both professionally and personally? At our reception in Lund, we can offer an inspiring, varied, and engaging job where we consistently focus on the patient. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) in Lund/Eslöv has over 100 employees and consists of three outpatient clinics, two of which are located in Lund. At the clinics, assessments, treatments, and neuropsychiatric evaluations are conducted. Bup in Lund serves children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families in eight municipalities. The area also includes a middle-care clinic and a unit for deaf psychiatry. We are currently in an exciting phase of development, focusing on well-structured standardized processes and innovative technical-digital solutions. Our development initiative stems from our desire to provide children and adolescents with quality psychiatric care and to collaborate constructively with our partners. We also prioritize supporting the entire family when needed. We aim to achieve this development through a stepwise approach to both assessments and treatments, as well as continued work on our standardized care processes. As we implement modern and more efficient working methods, we hope to assist more children and adolescents who require our services. Refining and improving our care processes and routines is essential for us, where decision-making paths are relatively short and swift. We take responsibility, support each other, and work together. The workplace is characterized by a strong commitment to our patients and a shared responsibility for our work and social environment. We strive to meet our patients' needs and provide care at the appropriate level. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In the role of medical secretary, your primary responsibilities will be to organize and structure the administrative work surrounding patient visits, including registrations in various systems such as WebPASIS, Melior, and 1177, as well as handling phone calls. Your tasks will also include providing administrative service and support to the treating staff. With us, you are the face of the organization, and you will be the first point of contact for our patients when they visit or call us. Your duties will consist of typical secretarial tasks such as printing medical notes, handling mail, managing referrals, and patient registration, as well as invoicing, scheduling, and reviewing and following up on statistics. There is also the opportunity to take on your own area of responsibility with other administrative tasks. You will also actively contribute to the development and improvement of both routines and collaborative methods. We offer flexible working hours, and there is also the possibility of working from home. Our working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome applicants who have an education in Health and Medical Care Administration of 80 KY points or 400 YH points, or equivalent medical secretary training. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of medical terminology and strong proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You should be computer literate, proficient in all aspects of the Office suite. Experience with healthcare administrative systems is an advantage. It is important to us that you see opportunities, are organized, and have a positive attitude. You are an engaged person with good collaboration skills and a sense of service, as your work involves significant contact with people. It is essential that you can work independently and are meticulous in your work. We also prefer candidates who are flexible and open to change and development. We strive for a work environment where Region Skåne's values—welcoming, driven, caring, and respectful—are present in our daily work, and we see that you possess and wish to work according to the same values. Personal suitability will be given great importance. A background check will be conducted before any potential employment. This recruitment process will use ongoing selection.
