About this role
As a medical secretary with us at the Surgical Clinic, you are a valued and important asset in the healthcare chain, facilitating the administrative flow and providing essential support for all our professional groups in administrative matters.
We are now offering a developmental role in our care department with varied tasks, including medical documentation in Cosmic based on dictation, DRG coding, mail handling, quality registers, and other relevant healthcare administrative duties. Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday.
About You
We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary or healthcare administrator, preferably with a few years of experience. You have IT proficiency and strong skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience with the Cosmic journal system, DRG coding, and working with quality registers is considered an advantage.

Your Future Workplace
The Surgical Clinic conducts a wide range of activities divided into upper and lower abdominal surgery, vascular, breast, endocrine, urological surgery, and surgical emergency care. A total of over 200 people work at the clinic, including 29 medical secretaries. For several years now, the Surgical Clinics in Kalmar and Oskarshamn have been a joint clinic. Advanced surgery is performed in Kalmar, while Oskarshamn handles cases that typically do not require intensive care.
Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialized care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Over 2,300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
