About this role

**About the Job** Do you want to help develop patient safety in the City of Gothenburg? We are replacing a MAR colleague who has taken on another assignment. The city has gathered all those with the roles of MAS (Medical Responsible for Nurses) and MAR (Medical Responsible for Rehabilitation) within the Elderly and Care Administration. The assignment involves ensuring patient safety within elderly care and support services. The MAS and MAR roles will form a separate unit within the Health and Medical Care Department, alongside Socially Responsible Coordinators (SAS), starting from the turn of the year. In your role as MAR, you will be one of Gothenburg City's experts in patient safety. Your responsibilities include developing and quality assuring municipal health and medical care. You will investigate and follow up on how operations systematically work with patient safety, proposing improvements based on identified shortcomings. Key tasks include conducting in-depth investigations of care-related injuries and reporting incidents under the Lex Maria regulation, as well as reporting incidents involving medical technical products to the Medical Products Agency. Your work will also involve writing reports, analyses, and service statements, developing guidelines according to legislation, and ensuring that operations systematically work with patient safety. **About You** The following qualifications are required for the position: - A university degree as a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist. - You should be well-versed in health and medical care legislation and have experience working with investigations and incident analysis. - Several years of experience in municipal health and medical care. - You should be knowledgeable about regulations and the handling of medical technical products. The following qualifications are advantageous: - Experience in previous MAR assignments and/or quality and development work in a leadership position, preferably as a manager, in a politically governed organization. - Documented advanced knowledge in health and medical care law, with a master's degree or equivalent. You can adapt your working methods when circumstances change. You can quickly shift your perspective and approach, seeing opportunities in changes. You create situations where new ideas and suggestions can develop. You motivate others and explain changes in an educational manner, handling criticism of change constructively. You communicate information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing, ensuring that your message is conveyed. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target audience, and situation. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect.
