About this role
Now there is an opportunity to become part of our fantastic team staffing the night shift at Department 5A.
We are seeking someone with experience in, or who wants to expand their knowledge of, hematology, pulmonary medicine, and endocrinology.
About the Position and Our Department
Department 5A is an acute care unit, our mission is to investigate and treat patients with hematological, pulmonary, or endocrine conditions requiring inpatient care. We have 21 patient beds. During the night, we are staffed with 2 or 3 nurses and 1 or 2 nursing assistants depending on the number of nurses on duty.
Work tasks include direct and indirect patient care, family contact, work management, teamwork, documentation, medication management, etc. We strive to maintain a high nurse density and high competence around the clock, a prerequisite for providing patient-safe care while maintaining a good work environment.
We are a well-functioning department with good staffing on the physician, nursing assistant, and nurse sides. The night team has extensive healthcare experience, high competence, and good collaborative ability, which contributes to our positive work environment and low staff turnover.
We now need to strengthen our team and are seeking someone who wants to work primarily night shifts. Working hours for those working only night shifts are 32 hours/week (full-time). Those who wish to rotate to day/evening shifts will have 34 hours/week.
Qualifications
Staffing is lower at night compared to other times of the day, so it is important that you are someone who enjoys working in a team, is good at communicating, and has high collaborative ability. No shift is like another, and workload varies depending on the patients admitted. It is therefore an advantage if you are inspired by this variation and can prioritize and feel comfortable acting in both calm and acute situations.
We are seeking a licensed nurse with more than 1 year of experience from a care ward or similar activity. Experience in hematological care or cytostatic handling is meritorious but not required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Warmly welcome to apply!
Our Offer
It is important to us that you enjoy and develop in your work.
