**About the Workplace and the Job**
Sick Transport in Halland is part of the Ambulance, Sick Transport, and 1177 telephone service operations.
The department is located in the following towns: Kungsbacka, Varberg, Falkenberg, and Halmstad and provides both lying and sitting patient transport within and outside Region Halland. The job involves driving patients with minimal care needs to and from healthcare facilities and between healthcare units. Daily work is performed independently, involving driving, lifting, and transferring patients. Vehicle and station care are included in the responsibilities.
The work is independent, flexible, and responsible with great variety in daily tasks. The role includes day, evening, and weekend duties. If you are an experienced ambulance caregiver, there is also an opportunity for service in the ambulance, which may include night shifts.
For these positions, we offer both temporary contracts and hourly positions. Please specify in your application which type of employment you are interested in.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for individuals who have a healthcare education or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. Being an ambulance caregiver is considered a merit. A driver's license with C1 permit or a B driver's license obtained before 1996 is a requirement. Lifting tests and driving tests will be conducted during the interview.
You have good command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as good experience with computers and technical systems. You, as an applicant, are an independent and responsible person who is meticulous and responsive to patients' needs. Since the work is carried out independently, it is very important that you are reliable, flexible, and efficient in your work approach. No workday is the same, offering variety while also requiring problem-solving skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
