About the Role
We are seeking an engaged and structured Mechanical Package Engineer who wants to become part of our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical equipment in our industrial and energy projects in its entirety, including both static and rotating equipment. You will work cross-disciplinarily and be in contact with both suppliers and customers to ensure quality, safety, and delivery precision.
Work Tasks
• Development of technical specifications and requirement documents (data sheets, technical specifications, design basis for mechanical equipment packages such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, tanks, filter systems, process modules, etc.)
• Review and evaluate supplier quotes and specifications from a technical perspective and participate in technical negotiations.
• Responsible for reviewing and approving supplier drawings and documentation (GA drawings, P&ID, IOM manuals, test procedures, etc.).
• Ensure that equipment meets project requirements, relevant standards (e.g., ASME, PED, API, EN), and customer specifications.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between different disciplines and packages.
• Follow up on manufacturing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), and participate in supplier inspections.
• Contribute to monitoring supplier timelines and report status to project management.
• Support installation and commissioning through technical clarifications and deviation reports, SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
• Contribute to improvements of work methods and technical processes.
Qualifications
• Civil or university engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a mechanical package engineer in the industrial, process, or energy industry. Experience in mechanical design is meritorious.
• Good knowledge of international standards (ASME, API, PED, EN).
• Meritorious with 3D design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, CATIA, etc.).
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English.
