The company stands strong for the future with continued high demand and steadily growing operations. We are now seeking a Mechanical Lead Engineer at our Gothenburg office who wants to drive development forward.
Your Role
As Mechanical Lead Engineer, you will have a central and leading role where you combine technical expertise with project management and international collaboration. You will be responsible for the mechanical design of our products and installations, leading the work of our mechanical engineers, both locally and in close cooperation with our colleagues in India. The role involves working across the entire chain from concept and design to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. You will be a key person in ensuring that our solutions maintain high technical standards, are manufacturing-friendly, and meet customer requirements for quality, safety, and functionality.
The position is based at our office in Olskroken and involves 20-25 travel days per year, primarily within Europe.
Primary Responsibilities
* Responsible for mechanical design of products and installations
* Lead and support mechanical engineers in ongoing projects, including colleagues in India
* Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation for production in other countries
* Maintain close contacts with our manufacturing in the Czech Republic and establish manufacturing with new suppliers
* Prepare technical documentation for purchasing mechanical parts and systems in new and renovation projects
* Create facility layouts and design documentation in SolidWorks
* Support mechanical installations, sometimes on-site at customer locations
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced, committed, and collaborative engineer with broad technical knowledge in mechanical design. You thrive in an environment where you can combine leadership with practical design work and have a natural ability to collaborate across functions and borders.
To Succeed in the Role, We Expect You to Have
* College or master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Multiple years of experience in mechanical design for machines and industrial installations
* Experience in process industry is meritorious
* Excellent skills in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD program
* Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
* Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written
* Class B driver's license
As a person, you are a team player who enjoys multiple contact points and has the ability to create structure in complex projects. You are detail-oriented, communicative, and have a genuine interest in technology, manufacturing, and continuous improvements.
