We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a global manufacturing company in Huskvarna, Jönköping. The start date is in January 2026, with an initial 22-month contract and the possibility of extension thereafter.
**Assignment Description**
As we are a smaller team, flexibility will be necessary. Your main responsibility will be to work on ride-on products in new projects.
**Tasks**
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning your work independently to ensure timely deliveries with high quality. Communication with other departments such as the lab, purchasing, and suppliers will be required to achieve the best results. Close cooperation with our lab for the evaluation of prototypes and test results to ensure good quality and customer experience will also be an essential part of your work. You will play a key role in maintaining quality and the development of our new products designed for the future.
**Required Skills**
- A degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field).
- 1-4 years of experience in relevant areas.
- Good knowledge of Catia V5.
- Good knowledge of design in steel and plastic.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English.
- Knowledge/understanding of mechatronics or electronics is a plus.
