What will you do on a daily basis as a Restaurant Manager at MAX?
As a Restaurant Manager, you will work strategically to support, follow up, and develop both employees and operations.
An equally important part of the role is that you will also work operationally in the restaurant's daily operations. With us, the manager leads by example, which means you will immerse yourself in all aspects of the restaurant's operations and enjoy participating in production. You will lead by example and work operationally about 60% of the time.
As a Restaurant Manager, you have overall responsibility for your restaurant, which includes both operations and finance as well as personnel. You ensure that the restaurant meets established monthly forecasts and budgets while ensuring that your employees enjoy their work and feel good. In addition to being responsible for your own restaurant, we also want you to serve as a role model within the company and contribute energy and resources to your entire district.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the restaurant delivers on set goals in the scorecard and business plan by transforming these into local goals and action plans.
- Working to ensure the restaurant meets established targets within our six focus areas: quality, service, speed, cleanliness, sales promotion, and cost control/profitability.
- Engaging in entrepreneurial planning of personnel and schedules, sales/local marketing, renovations, and maintenance. You will prepare forecasts for sales and worked hours and establish action plans to achieve these objectives.
- With commitment, you will build a team by recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating your employees so that the restaurant meets and exceeds guest expectations. You will work with daily follow-up and control of goods regarding waste, inventory/purchasing, and management.
Who are you?
You are someone who understands the importance of being a good role model and enjoys seeing your employees develop.
You have worked for several years in a service role or in a similar industry. Experience in the restaurant sector is a plus, but not a requirement. However, we do require at least two years of experience in a leadership role with personnel responsibility. You have basic IT skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English.
You are motivated by seeing others grow while maintaining focus on goals and results. You have a natural sense of service, are unpretentious, and skilled at communicating and collaborating with both your employees and fellow managers. Your personal qualities are incredibly important to us, and we will place great emphasis on them in this recruitment process.
