About the Role
The Air Staff is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Systems Engineering for the Air Staff's Technology and Maintenance Department. The aircraft systems are Gulfstream G-IV & G550, used for signal intelligence and VIP transport (called FPL102 in the Swedish Armed Forces).
You will have a project management role interfacing with other stakeholders and authorities, and will be managed by the Technical Manager of Material Systems (TCM). In your role, you will support the TCM in tasks related to technical design responsibility, focusing on requirement specification and fulfillment, configuration upgrades, and follow-up. You will work with a modern, high-tech aircraft system in collaboration with the Swedish National Defense Radio Establishment (FRA).
You will actively drive modifications for the flight systems throughout their entire lifecycle. Part of the position involves collaboration with international industry contacts.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead system configuration development
• Develop working methods and processes focusing on concept work, requirement work, and requirement fulfillment
• Define objectives and emerging needs for new acquisitions or material changes
• Track material configuration and properties against new defined requirements
• Conduct system safety reviews and prepare documentation for system safety approval
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
• Civil or university engineering degree in a relevant field or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good ability to report and document work in writing
• Very good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written
• B driver's license

Additional Details
Employment Type: Permanent civilian position. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.
