About the Material Coordinator Role:
As a Material Coordinator at SAAB, you will have a central function in tracking delivery forecasts and ensuring material status for production. You will coordinate between planners, production flows, and internal customers to optimize priorities and minimize shortage situations. Your work tasks include:
* Deciding internal priority of production sequence to meet customer needs.
* Presenting material status to internal customers.
* Marking urgent items in the business system (IFS).
* Initiating and driving actions for delivery deviations of critical items.
* Requesting internal production, purchasing, and other functions for late deliveries or interruptions.
* Analyzing material shortages and maintaining statistics to identify trends.
* Working proactively to minimize acute shortage situations.
* Ensuring synchronized flows and optimizing conditions for critical items in production.
The Ideal Candidate:
To succeed in the Material Coordinator role, we seek someone who is analytical, structured, and able to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. You enjoy taking initiative, making decisions, and setting requirements when needed. We are looking for someone who has:
* College degree or equivalent competence in planning, logistics, or purchasing.
* Experience from production, development projects, or similar.
* Strong Excel skills and preferably experience with business systems like IFS.
* Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing (additional languages are meritorious).
* Analytical ability and critical and creative thinking.
Personal qualities valued are collaboration skills, initiative, and a solution-oriented approach.
The position requires that you undergo and pass current security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may entail specific citizenship requirements.
