About the position
As a machine operator with us, you will work with your colleagues throughout the entire process. This includes reading blueprints, planning tasks, setup, execution, and final inspection. You will work with everything from tight tolerances with high surface requirements in solid materials to rough and fine machining of welded constructions. Our workshop in Norrköping is always ready for urgent repairs as well as planned service stops and contract manufacturing. We are a close-knit team with a strong service spirit and good collaboration skills, which allows us to help and support each other in our work. Our goal is always to solve the customer's problems together.
Your main responsibilities
• Receive and interpret work orders and blueprints
• Prepare and program machines
• Material processing and renovation work
• Conduct quality controls and documentation
• Participate in weekly management and planning of work
• Contribute to development and improvement initiatives
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in cutting machining, particularly with manual lathes. You have prior experience working with manual lathes and a good understanding of machine functions. You possess the ability to read blueprints and technical specifications. You work solution-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Experience with CNC programming is an advantage. Good knowledge of Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written, is required.
As a person, you are an engaged team player with a strong service mindset and collaboration skills. You enjoy challenges and have a personal drive and initiative, taking responsibility for setup, programming, and completing tasks. You should be available to work irregular hours during high workloads or urgent service tasks.
