Do you want to work with high-quality products, close to production, and in a team where innovation, creativity, and technical expertise go hand in hand? We are seeking a machine design engineer who can not only draw and calculate – but also think in new, broad, and free ways.
About the Company
Arje Lifting Systems AB manufactures and sells aids for heavy and ergonomically demanding work in the workshop and vehicle industries, with our primary products being vehicle lifts and positioning systems. We have a long-standing history tracing back to Bergqvist Mekaniska, which was active in Skelleftehamn outside Skellefteå, later becoming Arje Sweden and finally Arje Lifting Systems AB.
Your Responsibilities
As a machine design engineer with us, you will play a crucial role in product development.
You will:
• Create design drawings in Fusion 360 (or another 3D CAD tool – we are flexible).
• Perform technical calculations, especially regarding torque and load. You will be supported by colleagues for simpler analyses but will be responsible for more advanced parts.
• Be involved in the entire product lifecycle – from idea to finished product and further to after-market and technical support.
• Have close contact with production, located in the same building – creating direct and quick communication
• Work creatively on further developing existing products and finding new solutions that expand our product range.
Some electrical design is also part of the role. No experience? No problem – we will ensure you learn.
There is room for both innovation and testing ideas! If you enjoy pushing boundaries and combining theory with practice, you will thrive with us.
Your Background/Characteristics
We are seeking someone with genuine technical interest, who is curious and problem-solving – someone who sees solutions where others see problems. Of course, you appreciate collaboration as much as we do. You don't need to be an expert in everything – but should be versatile and eager to develop!
We believe you have:
• Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering, design, or similar.
• Experience with 3D CAD in some form.
• Ability to think in technical terms and calculate.
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written).
• Driver's license B (business travel may occur).
It is meritorious if you also have:
• Basic understanding of electrical design.
• English language skills (spoken and written).
• Practical experience from production, such as welding or machining.
• Familiarity with machinery directive.
At Arje Lifting Systems, you become part of a small, committed team where everyone contributes – regardless of title. Here you will work in a business strongly anchored in reality, but with an eye to the future.
We Offer You
We are a smaller company with short decision-making paths and high engagement. Here you will have opportunities to influence, learn, and work closely with both technology and production. You will become an important part of a team that truly believes in inclusion, quality, and innovation.
