Machine Operator with a Heart for the Cemetery Kalmar Parish has three burial grounds covering 26 hectares of burial land with approximately 15,000 graves and a crematorium. The Cemetery Administration is now seeking a machine operator for an excavator – a person who can contribute to caring for a place where people come to remember, mourn, and find peace, with a steady hand, gentle eye, and great respect. Work Tasks: As a machine operator with us, you will work responsibly and service-oriented with precision excavation, installation, and service within burial operations and parishes. Your duties include: - Installation work such as ash burial sites, paths, sewage, and drainage. - Grave digging with primarily wheeled excavator. - Transportation with tractors, wheel loaders, and forklift. - Maintenance, service, and care of our vehicle fleet (tractors, machines, cars). - Garden and ground work as needed, planting and maintenance of green areas. You will be one of two machine operators and, in addition to close collaboration with all colleagues, you will also work closely with other parts of the parish in various projects. You will also be responsible for machine care and pruning of our many trees. Qualifications: - Machine operator certificate/professional certification for excavator, primarily wheeled excavator - B driver's license - Extensive experience in excavation, preferably precision work with machinery – preferably documented - Knowledge of work environment and safety, especially concerning work in public spaces and near people Meriting Factors: - Installation work experience - BE/CE license - Work leadership experience - Garden education or similar - Cemetery/park work - Chainsaw/clearing saw - Lift work/Lift certificate - Loader/forklift We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
