The Department of Community Building manages and develops both urban and rural areas within the municipality. We have the overall responsibility for planning and creating the physical, legal, and business conditions for a safe and good living environment in Botkyrka. **The Position and Responsibilities**
We are seeking a land strategist with operational and team leadership responsibilities for the Department of Community Building.
This role is ideal for you if you want to work both strategically and operationally with the municipality's land holdings and contribute to sustainable community development in Botkyrka.
As a land strategist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating the municipality's land issues. You will lead the work within land management and collaborate closely with the land and development manager as well as the employees in the unit. The work includes both long-term planning and practical implementation, where you will switch between legal, economic, and technical issues related to land and properties.
**Your main responsibilities:**
- Lead and coordinate the work of land management and develop routines and working methods.
- Work with the purchase, sale, and lease of land and properties.
- Prepare documentation for budgets, operational plans, and follow-ups.
- Negotiate and establish agreements, such as land allocations, leases, and property rights.
- Participate in development projects and represent the municipality as a landowner in contacts with companies, private individuals, and other departments.
- Handle property economic and property legal issues, including property taxation.
The municipality is one of the largest landowners in Botkyrka, which means you will play a central role in ensuring that the land is used, managed, and developed in the best possible way. The assignment includes driving processes related to land allocations, sales, and leases, as well as participating in development projects where the municipality either builds independently or collaborates with private actors.

In the land and development department, 15 dedicated colleagues with various competencies in land and development work: project managers, construction project managers, land managers, and land strategists. **You Who Are Applying to Us**
You have a university degree in surveying, community building, or property law. Other education combined with relevant experience may also be considered equivalent. You have several years of experience working with land issues or in land and development, as well as documented knowledge in property law and property economics.
**Other requirements for the position:**
- Experience in leading, coordinating, or developing an operation.
- Experience in preparing agreements, decision documents, and service letters in Swedish.
- Experience working in digital systems related to land and property issues.
- Experience collaborating in project- or team-based environments with multiple stakeholders.
We consider it an asset if you have:
- Experience working with municipal land management or development projects.
- Experience in land allocation processes, property taxation, or similar property-related assignments.
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Experience in project management within the community building sector.
