Land Development Engineer

VME's areas of operation include streets, parks, bridges, traffic planning, street lighting, municipal forests, water and sewage, as well as district heating. In the street and park department, you will collaborate with street engineers, landscape architects, traffic technicians, and our street lighting manager to create attractive and functional outdoor environments in the municipality. RESPONSIBILITIES You will work on the planning and design of streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parking areas, traffic safety measures, GCM crossings, and street lighting. The role also includes conducting investigations and cost calculations, as well as being the project manager (BAS-P). The tasks are varied and involve numerous contacts, both internally and externally, as well as touching on several areas of the municipality's operations. The role requires you to work independently and in a structured manner while taking significant responsibility for your projects. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained or has experience as a construction engineer, civil engineer, or designer with a focus on infrastructure, land, or construction. We value practical experience in the construction industry and proficiency in computer skills. To succeed in this role, you need to: • Be proficient in AutoCAD. • Create clear work descriptions and quantity lists according to AMA Anläggning. • Use the Microsoft Office suite. • Express yourself clearly and professionally in both spoken and written Swedish. • Hold a valid B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience in: • Designing in Novapoint or Civil 3D. • Producing machine control files. • Electrical design.
