About this role

Start: 2025-12-01 End: 2026-03-31 As a land manager, you help shape how the city grows, changes, and is preserved. You handle contracts, meet residents, solve everyday issues, and ensure the municipality's land is used wisely. One day it's about leases, the next about injured animals or trees that need to be felled. This is a job for someone who likes responsibility, variety, and making a real difference. Assignment Description As a land manager, you will participate in the land and exploitation unit's work and be responsible, together with other team members, for the municipality's land holdings. You will primarily work with land management, establishing and monitoring (renewal, termination, fees, etc.) various types of lease agreements, such as land lease contracts, and represent the municipality as a landowner in different contexts. You will track revenues and expenses for the city's land holdings. Contacts with municipal residents are a key task and can involve anything from questions about leases to injured animals and tree felling. No two workdays are the same! You will closely collaborate with functions working in forest and wildlife management. Contacts with other units and departments on shared issues are additional tasks you will have. As a land manager, you will have a socially outward-facing role with many contacts with municipal residents, landowners, and representatives from other municipal departments. The work also includes being supportive and involved in the unit's other work areas, and other tasks related to land management and exploitation may arise. Experience Requirements We are seeking someone with extensive experience as a land manager in municipal, state, or private sector. You have a university degree focused on land surveying, urban planning, property law, or equivalent, or work experience in a relevant area. You should have good knowledge of property law issues. Experience in forest and wildlife management is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You work independently and express yourself very well verbally and in writing. You are outgoing, flexible, and have good negotiation skills. You have excellent communication and collaboration abilities and easily build good relationships both internally and externally.
