We are now seeking a personal assistant who wants to work as a substitute. The shifts are scheduled during the day, evening, and night. During night shifts, the assistant will work overnight while awake. About the client and job responsibilities: The client is a 56-year-old man who uses a wheelchair and is very active. He lives in an apartment in Salem. He enjoys swimming, using the sauna, walking, exercising, listening to music, and being out in the community. Due to his diagnosis of dysarthria, he has reduced speech ability. It is therefore important that you have fluent knowledge of the Swedish language. As a personal assistant to the client, you will play a crucial role in his daily life. Your job is to assist him with tasks he would do himself without his disability, without taking over tasks he can perform independently. You will assist the client with daily activities, which include: • Support with hygiene routines and dressing • Cooking and cleaning • Assisting with transfers and activities at home • Help with communication • Contributing to a safe and supportive environment The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements: • You speak fluent Swedish • You should be proactive • You can provide good service • You can cook • You are meticulous and self-reliant • You should be calm and resilient to stress • You should have patience and understanding • Having a driver's license is a merit Your work is of great significance to his well-being and quality of life.
