About this role
**Description**
Stålvallaskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 100 students located in Lesjöfors, about 30 kilometers north of Filipstad.
We offer you a friendly working environment along with positive and helpful colleagues. We work in two teams divided into K-5 and 6-9. The school has a student health team consisting of an assistant principal, special educator, counselor, and school nurse. We are now looking for someone who, together with us, wants to provide our students with the very best conditions during their time at school!
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for teaching mathematics and, possibly, science for grades 6-9. The position also includes mentorship for a group of students.
Your duties will include typical tasks such as subject planning, teaching, documentation, supervising breaks, and participating in the work team. You will also have budget responsibility and manage the procurement of teaching materials for your subjects.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for a licensed and qualified teacher in Mathematics/Science for grades 6-9 who, together with future colleagues and new students, wants to help create a positive school culture at Stålvallaskolan.
You need to be a confident and clear leader with a focus on students' achievement of goals. We see you as a teacher who builds your instruction on close pedagogical relationships with students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, needs, and abilities.

**Conditions**
For this position, a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
