Your role with us
As a teacher, you will inspire students to learn and take responsibility for their own education. With commitment and enthusiasm, you will create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through effective leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
Teaching is designed according to the curriculum goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are essential cornerstones. You will have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt your teaching to meet all students' levels, focusing on the best interests of the student.
Through dialogue, you will build good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you will stay informed about events in the world and the everyday lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation will be a natural part of your work. You will systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work within the team/school. You will also share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.
If you are new to teaching, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you may conduct lessons but not be responsible for them. Only a certified teacher is responsible for grading.
Who are we looking for?
We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching certification qualified to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics and science in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for someone with subject knowledge at the university level in the aforementioned subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical training at the university level. We would prefer that you have experience teaching, preferably in primary school, and have worked with young people aged 13-15 years.
You have the ability to adapt your teaching based on each student's circumstances, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a conducive working environment, and a desire to learn. You are engaged, enthusiastic, and genuinely interested in the world of education and how it is affected by the surrounding environment.
A key success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a confident educational leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the team's working methods for continuous development.
Naturally, you use digital technology in your teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals.
As a person, you are communicative, attentive, well-versed, and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers, with an aptitude for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

If there are no qualified certified teachers available, you may be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we wish to offer you the position, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal record to be hired, in accordance with the provisions in Chapters 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
