Innovitaskolan consists of 26 preschools and primary schools created to meet the needs of the future. We combine traditional teaching with modern tools and methods to provide our children and students with the skills and right conditions in a changing world. We are seeking a qualified and licensed teacher in mathematics and natural sciences for the later years of primary school.
We offer:
A permanent position at 100% in mathematics, physics, and technology for grades 7-9. The position includes a lead teacher role focused on increasing goal fulfillment in science education, as well as a special assignment in mathematics in collaboration with the school's mathematics project group. We want to expand our investment in learning in mathematics and natural sciences, and we hope this position will be part of that initiative. About the organization:
Innovitaskolan Visby is an independent institution for students in grades F-9. The school started in 2002 under the name Atheneskolan and has established itself with high satisfaction among students, guardians, and staff. We have both preschool and school with a total of 530 children and students. Creativity, curiosity, and high ambition characterize our operations and have contributed to students' good knowledge development and well-being in recent years.
The school has two parallel grades from preschool class to grade 9. Mentorship teams, subject teams, and work teams are at the core of our operations, and we focus on creating equal and good conditions for student learning. The student health work is well integrated into the unit and includes central support from the principal. Within student health, there are opportunities to specialize in various areas and, together with the team, continue to develop teaching and the school environment so that every student can reach their full potential. At Innovitaskolan Visby, we work together, and collegial collaboration takes many forms. Here, you have the chance to develop in your professional role and, together with students, colleagues, and school management, enhance the operations. We have trust and high expectations for both students and each other. Mathematics instruction is organized with three educators for two classes, allowing for various types of level groupings and interventions based on the groups' needs and goal fulfillment.
Within Innovitaskolan, we work with three common concepts: Balance, Explore, and Innovate. All concepts aim to prepare and equip students for the future. There are 27 Innovitaskolor within the country's borders. Here, there are forums for collegial collaboration, innovative thinking, and shared challenges.
