About this role

Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to the municipality that is far from average! Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts of Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 residents and over 6,400 employees. The Department of Health and Social Care is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and individuals with disabilities, as well as offering support to their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and secure life situation for our citizens, around the clock. We are 2,500 employees who, in our various roles, provide support and care to those citizens in need. The Position and Responsibilities We are seeking two LSS case officers: one one-year temporary position and one permanent position within the authority's unit for disability services. In this role, you will meet individuals under the age of 65 who require support under LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and SoL (Social Services Act). You will investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding interventions with a focus on quality, legal security, and the individual's right to support, while also safeguarding the individual's rights and contributing to a safe and fair support system for the municipality's citizens. Your main responsibilities will include: - Conducting interviews and home visits with the individual, service providers, and their networks - Following up on approved interventions and adjusting support based on changing needs - Documenting clearly and legally in the operational system LifeCare - Managing invoices related to approved interventions - Contributing to the development of work methods and routines within the unit - Collaborating with healthcare, home care, service providers, and other internal and external stakeholders With a professional approach, you will assess needs and ensure that interventions are designed in accordance with the individual's life situation. We Offer You With us, you will become part of a competent team driven by the desire to make a difference for the residents of Botkyrka. We have close collaboration in our daily work with collegial check-ins and a supportive culture where we share knowledge and help one another. The group consists of 17 case officers and two team leaders who provide operational support. The operation is led by an accessible manager with overall responsibility and a focus on ensuring you receive the support you need. You will receive an introduction tailored to your experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and some remote work when it aligns with the needs of the operation. We offer a work environment where participation, collaboration, and learning are central – and we harness each employee's motivations and strengths. We work according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus) and are in a development phase with a particular focus on quality, legal security, and respectful interactions. Here, you will find both structure and security – but also the space to grow and contribute to the development of the operation. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another academic degree in law, sociology, or behavioral science. Other Requirements: • Completed and approved course in social law. • Experience interpreting laws and regulations. • Experience documenting clearly and accurately in Swedish, both orally and in writing. • A valid driver's license (B). Meritorious: • Experience working as a case officer with authority under LSS and/or SoL. • Experience working according to IBIC in investigation and documentation processes. • Experience using the operational system Procapita/LifeCare in daily work. Working as a case officer requires you to be confident in your professional role and stable when meeting individuals in vulnerable and complex situations. You have the ability to remain calm, make thoughtful decisions, and build trust in interactions with users and their relatives. The role requires a solution-focused mindset and flexibility, where you adapt your working methods to the individual's needs and quickly adjust to changing conditions. You work independently and in a structured manner, planning and prioritizing cases effectively while ensuring high-quality case management. The ability to communicate clearly and tailor messages to different target groups is central to creating understanding and collaboration with users, relatives, and other stakeholders. A respectful and empathetic approach permeates your work and is crucial for building trust and ensuring that investigations and decisions are legally secure and based on legislation. We welcome your application!
