Job Responsibilities
The Cleaning Service is responsible for the maintenance of various municipal facilities, including preschools, primary schools, sports halls, care homes, and recreational activities. Approximately 420 individuals work within the Cleaning Service, delivering cleaning services daily to the city's different departments. Our operations are expanding, and we therefore need to recruit around 12 permanent employees and 4 temporary employees.
The job responsibilities include mechanical cleaning work, cleaning municipal premises, washing mops, and planning your work hours according to the cleaning schedule. You will also perform window cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, as well as move-out cleaning.
Transportation between locations primarily occurs by bicycle, on foot, or by bus, and the tasks can be physically demanding, even though we use environmentally friendly and ergonomic cleaning methods.
We have schedules that start and end at different times, all falling within the range of 07:00-18:00. Some facilities for which we are responsible for cleaning are open every day of the week, which means weekend work may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with at least 1 year (12 months) of work experience in professional cleaning. It is essential that you can receive information via email, intranet, and report in a payroll system. As effective daily communication is crucial for our operations, you need to have basic knowledge of Swedish: for example, you should be able to read a job description, understand dosage instructions, and comprehend verbal instructions. Since we primarily travel by bicycle, it is important that you are capable of cycling.
It is advantageous if you have a high school diploma and any of the professional certificates SRY, PRYL, or equivalent. Experience in floor care, window cleaning, and deep cleaning is also a plus. A B driver's license for a manual car is considered an asset.
As the work is independent, it is important that you are comfortable working autonomously, which means taking responsibility for your tasks and planning your work effectively to deliver results and meet customer expectations. You enjoy being around people and have a good sense of service towards those you encounter throughout the day. You thrive on variety, as you may have several different workplaces during the day.
