Local Strategist for the Education Administration

The Education Administration in Piteå is facing many exciting challenges, and we are looking for someone who is proactive, enjoys challenges, and wants to contribute to a better everyday life for children and students in Piteå's preschools and schools. The administration has approximately 1,500 employees and is responsible for Piteå Municipality's preschools and schools. We are currently expanding our local team and are seeking an additional local strategist to be based in our central administration. **The Local Team** The Local Team within the Education Administration works with local issues for preschool, primary school, and secondary school, from planning and developing buildings to furnishings and equipment. Piteå Municipality is currently embarking on an exciting and extensive transformation journey, where many preschools and schools need to be renovated and modernized, along with several large new construction projects. To meet future needs, we are now strengthening our local team with an additional local strategist. We are looking for someone who wants to help create sustainable, functional, and inspiring learning environments for children and students throughout the municipality. As one of two local strategists, you will play a central role in both strategically working on long-term planning of the property portfolio and leading projects related to new construction and renovation. You will be an important link between the operations and the Property and Service Administration, as well as external stakeholders, contributing to ensuring that the municipality's educational facilities meet today's demands for quality, functionality, and sustainability. **Responsibilities** As a local strategist in the Education Administration, you will report directly to the Head of Operations for Finance and Planning and be part of a team consisting of three people based in the administration's central office. One of your main responsibilities will be to adapt the local structure for Piteå Municipality's preschools and schools based on the needs of the operations, the municipality's population development, and strategic frameworks. In addition, you will be responsible for a number of new, extension, and renovation projects within the Education Administration by driving projects in the early stages, planning, and following up on these. Your role includes coordinating the needs, documentation, and investigations required for the relevant projects, as well as being the contact person for clients, external stakeholders, and other concerned administrations. As a local strategist, you should also be able to provide consultative support on overarching physical work environment issues, and you will annually prepare proposals regarding investments for the development of the Children and Education Committee's strategic plan and annual report. **Qualifications** We are looking for someone with a higher education in building technology or other experience that the employer deems equivalent, as well as an understanding of issues related to the physical work environment. We prefer that you have experience from municipal or other public operations. Previous experience in project management, building, and property planning is an advantage. For the role, you need to be communicative and able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. **Other Information** - Requirement: B driver's license - Permanent position, 100%.
