About this role

ABOUT THE POSITION The government has decided to enhance defense capabilities by re-establishing several regiments in Sweden, among which Bergslagens Artillery Regiment, A 9 in Kristinehamn, is one. The regiment will be responsible for training artillery battalions for southern Sweden. We are currently in the process of building our supply department and are seeking logistics personnel for our goods and services section. The position involves both practical and administrative tasks related to storage and material supply. ABOUT A 9 Currently, A 9 consists of approximately 170 employees. The logistics unit will comprise a supply department of about 40 people and a technical department of around 30 people. The supply department serves as the garrison's reference point for materials, supplies, goods handling, and transportation. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Working in the A 9 Supply Department entails a variety of tasks. One day, you may work with practical tasks indoors or outdoors alongside other team members, and the next day, you might work independently with accounting in one of our data systems. The nature of the work requires good computer skills, experience working in PC/network environments, good physical ability, and a positive attitude towards training. Previous experience in a service role and familiarity with inventory and storage structure is an advantage. We train strength and endurance for three hours a week during work hours. Heavy lifting is common, and some of the work is conducted outdoors regardless of weather and season. Common tasks within the section include inventory, customer contact, and collaboration with other sections within the department. Since we are in a building phase, you must be prepared to tackle all types of emerging tasks. Responsibilities may change over time. Examples of tasks include: - Participating in training to manage existing material systems both practically and administratively. - Handling and delivering materials and services to units in Kristinehamn Garrison. - Providing service and customer contact during the delivery and receipt of materials. - Reporting materials in the accounting systems LIFT and PRIO (SAP). Health and physical training are integral parts of the work for all personnel in the Armed Forces. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications - High school education or equivalent competence acquired through work experience deemed comparable by the employer. - Good computer skills and experience working in PC/network (Windows environment). - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Driver's license *B - Good physical ability. Heavy lifting is involved, and work is often conducted in outdoor environments regardless of weather. Desirable Qualifications - Certification for support leg and counterbalance forklifts as well as wheel loaders. - Experience with the Armed Forces' data systems such as LIFT and PRIO (SAP). - General experience in warehouse/storage work. - Experience from service roles. - Experience in goods handling. - Meet the Armed Forces' basic requirements for physical ability. OTHER The employment is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Travel for work and training purposes may occur. The workplace is Kristinehamn, but we also have operations in Villingsberg, so some of the work and training will initially take place in Villingsberg and possibly in other locations.
