About this role

Do you want to lead and develop the logistics function at Plasman Simrishamn? We are currently seeking a Logistics Manager who is ready to take full responsibility for developing and strengthening our logistics operations. In this role, you will be a key person in our ongoing operational development and will be part of the management team for the Simrishamn factory. You will have the opportunity to influence, improve, and create long-term solutions throughout our supply chain. **Your main responsibilities** In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing the logistics function according to Plasman’s guidelines. You will develop the team’s competencies, create engagement, and have delegated responsibility for the work environment. The role combines a strategic focus on long-term improvements with operational responsibility in daily operations. **Strategic responsibilities:** - Develop and drive logistical processes for long-term efficiency. - Identify new working methods, digital solutions, and technologies that enhance the future development and competitiveness of logistics. - Ensure goal fulfillment and be responsible for the department's budget. - Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure an efficient supply chain and develop common working methods within Plasman. **Operational responsibilities:** - Act as the main contact for both internal and external customers and suppliers, ensuring clear communication regarding volumes, deliveries, and capacity. - Be responsible for material management, production planning, and indirect purchasing to ensure smooth and efficient operations. - Work with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity calculations to optimize production and resources. **Qualifications for success** To succeed, we are looking for a person with a solid background in logistics and production, who also has experience in leading and developing teams. You have the ability to analyze, improve, and streamline processes, and you work systematically with both short-term needs and long-term goals. **Education and experience:** - Relevant education in Supply Chain or logistics, or equivalent work experience that provides a solid foundation for the role. - Documented education in production logistics, preferably with experience from the automotive industry. - Extensive experience in material management, production planning, and purchasing. Experience in planning and logistics within the manufacturing industry is an advantage. **Skills and knowledge:** - Proven ability to lead teams and develop employee competencies. - Documented experience in developing logistical processes and driving improvement projects, preferably with methodological support from Lean or Six Sigma. - Fluent in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of German is a plus, enabling effective communication in international contexts. **Apply today!** Are you ready to take the next step and lead our logistics function forward?
