Location: Stockholm Application deadline: 2026-01-15 Reference number: 2025-15746 **This is your mission** As a bodyguard, you contribute to the security surrounding the central government leadership. A bodyguard primarily works to prevent and deter the protected person from being subjected to violence or threats of violence by planning and implementing protective measures. If the protected person is still subjected to a physical attack or violation, the bodyguard must be able to manage the situation. You are expected to create and maintain good relationships, as in the role of a bodyguard you will closely collaborate with protected individuals, other authorities, and organizations both in Sweden and internationally. Our protected individuals operate in many different contexts, which we must be able to reflect. Continuous further education and physical training provide you with the opportunity to develop and deepen your specialist knowledge. Your placement is in Stockholm, but travel within and outside Sweden is included in the position. **The qualifications we seek from you** Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position. **Requirements:** - Swedish citizenship - Police degree - Worked as a police officer for at least one year after graduation and completed approved probationary service by the application deadline - Approved emergency driver training or training in police tactical driving - Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written - Good ability to communicate in English, spoken The work as a bodyguard also imposes medical and physical requirements: - Adequate vision with or without correction. Due to the nature of the job, wearing glasses is not permitted - Adequate hearing - Good physical capacity - during the recruitment process, tests will include: - Running, up to 3 km - Harres test - Full body strength in Isokai - Anaerobic test - Evacuation of a dummy weighing 80 kg - Leg strength through vertical jump - Lifesaving in water You may also possess skills that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is an advantage: - Experience in various police operational areas or special skills such as ambulance driver, medical training, or work with personal protection within the Armed Forces - Skipper's license, driver's license with extended authorization, or instructorship in police subjects such as POLKON - Language skills beyond English - Experience from other cultures through upbringing, work, studies, or travel - Basic knowledge of Sweden's societal structure and being updated on current events in Sweden and the world **This is the colleague we are looking for** We place great importance on personal qualities and are looking for someone with a strong interest in people and a natural ability to observe and interpret behaviors and situations. The Security Police actively strives for a more balanced gender distribution and diversity regarding background and experiences among our bodyguards. **Employment conditions and requirements** Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment with the Security Police involves placement in a security class. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
