REGION VÄRMLAND
The Ambulance Service in Torsby is now seeking temporary employees for non-emergency patient transport.
In Värmland, there are 12 ambulance stations operating a total of 24 ambulances, three assessment units, and nine non-emergency patient transport vehicles. The operation also deploys healthcare personnel on service line buses. Close cooperation is maintained with the air ambulance and acute care vehicle stationed at Karlstad Airport. The helicopter doctor provides additional medical support to the ambulance service.
The region's population structure—densely populated in the south and rural in the north—combined with large distances, poses challenges in terms of accessibility. The ambulance service is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, management system for quality.
Non-emergency patient transport provides transportation for patients who cannot be moved in any other way than lying down for medical reasons and who do not require medical care during transport. As an employee in non-emergency patient transport, you will perform patient transports both within and outside the county.
We are looking for applicants who are nursing assistants, ambulance care providers, or nursing students in semesters 4-5. You must have a valid B driver's license with at least three years of driving experience and be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Personal attributes are highly valued. You have a strong ability to work independently, as the job involves working alone. You are secure, stable, self-aware, and adapt your behavior to the situation at hand. Experience from similar work is a merit.
Before any potential employment, you will need to complete work tests and undergo an approved health examination conducted by the region. Region Värmland is committed to a drug-free workplace and requires mandatory drug testing for new hires.
Before employment, there will be a testing day involving interviews and practical tests in the form of physical assessments and driving tests. If you are shortlisted for the position, you will receive a separate email with details about the testing day.

A result in this registry may affect your chances of employment.
