About this role
**About the Workplace**
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development reinforce each other. We take responsibility for equal welfare and for research and innovation to produce results.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
There are many options within our county where you can choose to work, ranging from advanced highly specialized care to outpatient care at one of our health centers or cottage hospitals.
As a doctor in Region Västerbotten, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You work in a professional manner, always keeping the patient in focus. You must ensure that the patients receive appropriate medical care. The role of a doctor also requires your ability to lead and motivate other staff members to collaboratively create a good work environment and provide quality care. The work demands independence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make ongoing decisions in the right order.
Together, we actively work to develop methods that promote patient safety, accessibility, and a positive working environment.
To facilitate the balance between work and leisure, many workplaces offer working time models that allow for more time for recovery and for you to be involved in planning your work shifts.
We can offer employment while you learn Swedish and familiarize yourself with the Swedish healthcare system. You will also be part of a local network of foreign-trained staff, which provides support from both employers and other foreign-trained doctors.
Depending on whether you work in a city or a rural community, in emergency healthcare or in general medicine, your duties will vary.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for registered doctors and specialists.
Experience in primary care and emergency care units is an asset but not a requirement.
You are flexible, possess good teamwork skills, and can work independently. You are open to change and actively contribute to a positive work environment.
You must have a European education and proficient English skills.
**Personal Qualifications:** Flexibility and the ability to adapt to unplanned changes during the workday.
You engage with medical colleagues and patients in a professional and attentive manner. You collaborate well with other professions and solve tasks effectively.
**Focus on Quality:** You have an eye for detail and strive to deliver high-quality care for your patients. You can identify faults in routines and processes and work towards improving them.
**Communication:** You can receive and convey information clearly, to both patients and colleagues.
