About this role

Are you looking for a role where you can develop and build something new while contributing to a stable and critical societal operation? Then the Systems Technician IT Security position might be your next challenge! Exciting changes are currently underway in IT at LFV, and the IT Security area is no exception. The IT Security unit works to ensure a robust infrastructure that meets societal requirements. We are responsible for IT security services and IT security development, supporting the organization with our specialized expertise. We monitor our IT environments to detect events that may impact security and keep an eye on the outside world to identify new security gaps and risks. We are now in the startup phase of building an important and completely new function: our own Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). Together, we are laying the foundation for a stronger and more coordinated ability to detect, manage, and prevent cyber threats. Our unit currently consists of four employees and will grow in the coming years. The IT Security unit belongs to the Systems and Development (SoU) department, which provides communication, navigation, and monitoring services. The department is responsible for LFV's administrative information technology, development activities, system planning, and procurement. In total, we have approximately 170 employees in SoU. With us, you'll have the opportunity to work with technology in a larger, complex IT environment where multiple systems interact. In addition to building the CSIRT, you will also contribute to analyzing security function requirements and IT technical security vulnerabilities. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for, among other things: * Analysis and investigation of security events from SOC to internal reporting * Vulnerability scanning and vulnerability management * Cyber threat modeling * Threat hunting * IT forensics * Threat intelligence LFV prioritizes skills development and offers training opportunities that promote personal and professional development in the role. Your Profile To be successful in the Systems Technician role, you need the following qualifications and experiences: * College or vocational education in IT or equivalent competence acquired otherwise * Good and current knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux) * Good and current knowledge of networks and firewalls * Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you also have: * Experience working within CSIRT or SOC * Experience with SIEM, EDR, and NDR * Knowledge of log analysis and log platforms * Good knowledge of IT forensics/network forensics * Experience with vulnerability management * Experience working in organizations with security-sensitive operations or high IT security requirements You have a strong interest in IT security and want to continue developing in the field. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are communicative, while also enjoying working independently. With strong problem-solving abilities, you deliver high-quality results. You are flexible and open to change, comfortable adapting to new situations and challenges, and have a non-hierarchical approach that makes you eager to collaborate across boundaries and share knowledge. We see no obstacle if you are at the beginning of your professional career; shorter work experience can be offset by energy and commitment.
