About the WorkThe Digitalization Department at Huddinge Municipality is embarking on an exciting journey in the coming years as the municipality aims to become one of the leading digitalization municipalities in Sweden. The department consists of Architecture and Information, Integrated Business Development, Digital Operations, and Digital Support sections. The Digitalization Department has around 70 employees and is led by the Future Director, who reports to the Municipal Director and is part of Huddinge Municipality's management team. The Digitalization Department will deliver IT and digitalization services tailored to the operations' goals and needs. Additionally, the department will proactively lead the operations into and through digital transformation. The Digital Operations section is responsible for ensuring all operations have access to secure and appropriate digital support for communication, systems, and user-near services such as Office, conference equipment, and workplace. The section is driving a change process to transition from a traditional operations department to a client organization focused on management and governance in a multi-sourced delivery. The section currently has multiple vendors and contracts for services, hardware, and software. About the RoleAs Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development of vendor relationships and agreed deliveries on behalf of the Digitalization Department. You will have a central leadership role in ensuring that the organization's vendor dialogues and contracts are managed effectively and in compliance with internal and external requirements. You are expected to collaborate closely with several sections within the municipality, including Digital Operations, Architecture & Information, Procurement, and operational units. Your responsibility is to ensure full compliance with all contract terms and to proactively identify and manage risks related to contract management together with the Procurement Section. The role is new to the municipality, which provides an opportunity to establish processes and routines effectively with your future manager. Your Responsibilities • Manage and be responsible for vendor relationships together with colleagues. • Work closely with IT vendors to ensure services and products are delivered according to contract terms. Manage relationships and resolve potential disputes with vendors in collaboration with the Procurement Section. • Responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of IT contracts, from participating in procurement and potential negotiation and establishment to follow-up and renewal, to ensure cost-effectiveness and agreed delivery points. • Ensure all contracted deliveries comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Identify and report potential contract risks and mitigate these risks. • Review and monitor financial aspects of contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and budget adherence. • Maintain accurate and updated documentation of all contracts and vendors. • Develop and implement routines and templates for effective contract management within the Digitalization Department to ensure correct delivery. • Provide advice and training to colleagues about contract terms and best practices for contract management. Who Are We Looking For? You have several years of experience in a role such as vendor manager, account manager, delivery manager, or contract controller, where work with customer or vendor relationships and management of IT contracts within outsourcing has been your primary tasks. Experience in negotiation and relationship building is seen as an important qualification for the role. We seek someone with a relevant academic degree in economics, law, or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience and independent courses. Knowledge of public procurement law and experience in the public sector is meritorious but not a requirement for the role.
