The position is based in the subject unit of Performing Arts, which belongs to Institution 2. The field of performing arts has nine specializations, with drama/dramaturgy being one of them. To ensure a close connection to the other artistic practices in the field of performing arts, you must have a strong interest in teaching and supervising all students in the unit, both within your subject and in interdisciplinary and collaborative processes across SKH. Therefore, you will play an important role in the pedagogical development work of the unit's teaching staff at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching and supervising students in dramaturgy at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
• Actively participating in students' education in dramaturgy for a broadened field of performing arts.
• Working to develop the institution's and SKH's interdisciplinary processes.
• Being responsible for developing existing and new courses within the subject, in relation to other specializations in the institution and SKH.
• Engaging in course and program administration, contributing to the institution's development work, and collaborating both internally within SKH and with external parties.
• Contributing to the development of SKH's research and promoting integration between the research field and undergraduate programs.
• Actively participating in the development within SKH and the field of performing arts.
In this role, you are also expected to take on responsibilities as the program coordinator for the master's program in performing arts. This includes leading, planning, and developing the education, as well as being responsible for teaching, scheduling, budgeting, and staffing. You may also be offered, for example, committee assignments, responsibilities as a specialization coordinator, and the opportunity for time dedicated to artistic research.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the position of lecturer in performing arts with a focus on dramaturgy, you must demonstrate:
• Artistic competence; broad and deep knowledge within your artistic field, a strong ability to develop and conduct high-quality research and/or development work, as well as experience in supervising at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
• Pedagogical competence; demonstrated pedagogical skill in artistic contexts, involvement in research-related education at both undergraduate and advanced levels, and the ability to develop and deliver high-quality education at various levels.

The responsibilities require that you have an active artistic practice within performing arts with a focus on dramaturgy and that you possess very good knowledge of Swedish/another Nordic language and English. You should also have the personal qualities necessary to perform the position well and to represent the university in a manner that benefits the organization.
Assessment Criteria
For this position, the eligibility criteria of artistic and pedagogical competence will also serve as assessment criteria and will be weighted equally. The remaining assessment criteria will be evaluated in order of priority. All assessment criteria must be documented.
• An active artistic practice with broad and deep knowledge of the contemporary performing arts field's cross-disciplinary expressions.
• A strong ability to conduct high-quality artistic research and development work.
• Experience in leading and administering courses and programs at the university level.
• Experience in interdisciplinary and collaborative work processes.
• Experience in addressing ethical issues and societal perspectives both in teaching and in artistic practice.

You should have completed, or be expected to complete within the next three years, higher education pedagogical training or have otherwise documented equivalent knowledge.
About the Position
The position is 75 percent of full-time and is fixed-term for 5 years. Start date is 2026-08-01 or as agreed.
