About this role
Storfors Municipality, located in eastern Värmland, is home to approximately 3,800 residents. We are proud of our proximity to nature and the opportunities for active outdoor life it offers. Together with a vibrant community and cultural life, high-quality childcare and schools, and a diverse business landscape, Storfors is a place where people thrive and grow. Now you have the chance to help improve the quality of life and provide a sense of security for our municipal residents.
Description
Welcome to our team! Due to parental leave, we are now seeking a licensed nurse to join our team in Storfors Municipality.
This temporary position runs until 31/12 2026, with potential for extension. Start date to be determined by mutual agreement.
Our unit is responsible for municipal healthcare at our two elderly care facilities, Humlegården and Sjögläntan, with a total of approximately 50 apartments, including 3 short-term care places. Home healthcare for regular housing and support services has approximately 50 patients enrolled.
We are a team of six nurses, with stable temporary staff as needed. Municipal healthcare in Storfors is in a positive development phase, where we work together on development projects and revising existing routines. In 2025, we are focusing on wound care, with all nurses offered ongoing monthly training and regular contact with wound care nurses.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for and lead nursing work in a part of the operation. You will work in a team with care personnel and colleagues in rehabilitation professions. You will independently plan and prioritize your tasks from a patient safety perspective. You will participate in team meetings, collaboration meetings with care partners, rounds, and educate/mentor care personnel in daily work and targeted training. We also hope you will contribute to the development of the operation by sharing your experiences and ideas.
During weekdays, you will work alongside nurse colleagues. Evenings and weekends, you will work as the sole nurse. Night shifts are not included.
Qualifications
You should be a licensed nurse. A B driver's license is required.
We place great importance on your patient safety focus, collaborative ability, and interest in teamwork and working closely with care personnel. Providing excellent care to patients, relatives, and colleagues within and outside the organization is a given. Experience in municipal care is meritorious; for newly graduated colleagues, experience as a nursing assistant is required.
