We are seeking someone who shows a strong commitment to person-centered care and symptom management. You are comfortable facing both medical and emotional challenges at work and have the ability to create security and trust with patients and their loved ones. The position is a permanent full-time employment with day/evening shifts and 2 out of 5 weekends. Start date by agreement.
Licensed Nurse for Oncology Ward 27b, Sundsvall
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse in our oncology ward, you will:
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with current guidelines.
• Work with symptom management and supportive care for patients in various stages of cancer.
• Engage with patients at different stages of their cancer journey, including curative intent, palliative stage, and end-of-life care.
• Collaborate with doctors, nursing assistants, and other professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
• Closely work with patients and their families to create security and understanding around the care plan.
• Participate in development work and contribute to improving care on the ward.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who:
• Are licensed nurses
Meriting qualifications include:
• Advanced training as an oncology nurse
• Work experience in cancer care
